Lovely little place. Not much in the way of ambiance, but it's clean, and neat. Very friendly staff, fast service, and the food is very good. The portions are huge, and it's priced really well. I took home on of the banana leaf wrapped vegetarian tamales to a friend and she said it was the best vegetarian tamale she had ever had. Then she added, it was one of the best tamales I've ever had. I don't live in Austin, but when I'm there it's going a place I revisit.

Ceviche, lomo saltado, rotisserie chicken, and rice--everything tasted very fresh and was okay. I took one star off because it needs attention. The place was half empty and had friendly servers, but two items on our order came wrong, and we had to repeat ourselves. Also, you could see the waiters having fun at the bar but not checking the tables.

My favorite local restaurant. It's affordable, I can always get a table, and it's super casual. And service is prompt. Drinks are always tasty. This time I tried the tamal. It was big, a little dry but had a great flavor. Empanada was a different than I expected. The dough was sweet and it had boiled egg inside.

The restaurant is open and welcoming with a substantial outdoor patio as well as the indoor seating. Our server was friendly and very helpful with finding food that worked around my food intolerances. I started with a Pisco sour traditional. It was tart and delicious, very well made. Then I ordered the Lobo saltado with sirloin, minus the onions. The meat was tender and had so much flavor, and the fries were perfect for sopping up the delicious sauce. The garlic rice I gave my son, and he said it was delicious. He ordered the Pan con Chicharron. He ate every bite and said it was delicious. They were very generous with the meat in both our meals. We can't wait to come back again.

I love Peruvian food. It's probably my favorite type of cuisine. There isn't a whole lot in the world that can't be made better by the addition of fried plantains. The service is always good when I go, and the mixed drinks are strong. When the weather is nice, get a seat on the patio. If you're looking for exciting cuisine, this is not the place. If you want good, solid Peruvian comfort food done well, this will fit the bill.

Great service. Tasty menu. Lomo - 5/5 Chocolate Cake w/ Maracuya - 5/5 Service was fantastic. Super friendly and great recommendations. Food came out really quick. Steak was cooked perfectly. Tender and juicy. Garlic rice was delicious. Cake was really good as well. Nice combo with the chocolate and maracuya.

I came here on a weekday evening for dinner for 2 people. It was a later dinner so there was plenty of open seating when we went. As far as the service, it is good but it was a bit on the slower side. If you're in a rush, I might go somewhere else or let them know ahead of time. We weren't so it wasn't an inconvenience. It also looks like they're planning on adding more space to be able to fit more tables soon. The chicha morada was very good. As an appetizer, we got the papa rellena. I appreciated the good amount of meat inside the potato and also the sauce that went with it. For my entree, I ordered the Aji de Gallina. The sauce with the chicken was very tasty and creamy. My husband ordered the Lomo Saltado and he enjoyed the flavor but he mentioned the beef was a little tough. He learned after the fact that on the menu there is an option to upgrade your beef for an upcharge. The menu has a variety of dishes that were appealing. I would like to return to try the ceviche and a few other dishes that caught my eye!
